Fasteners concentrate in Handan, Hebei, where Yongnian District produces bolts, nuts, screws and other standard parts covering all 12 major categories and 289 sub-categories of the National Standard Catalog for Fasteners (GB standards) as well as more than 30,000 specifications. Yongnian is known as China Fastener Capital and China's No.1 Standard Parts City, holds a National-level Characteristic SME Industry Cluster designation for fasteners from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (2023), and was named a Foreign Trade Transformation and Upgrading Base for fasteners in 2021. A second manufacturing base sits in Jiaxing, Zhejiang, centred on Haiyan County, with an upstream-to-downstream supply chain covering automotive, wind power, rail, high-speed rail, nuclear and aerospace applications. Shanghai profiles in this sample more often reflect trading and sourcing companies than a specialised manufacturing cluster.
