Furniture suppliers in this sample concentrate most clearly in Foshan, Guangdong. In Shunde district the towns of Lecong and Longjiang, and in Nanhai district the town of Jiujiang, form a furniture production and distribution base. Lecong is described by the Foshan Furniture Industry Association and national furniture-industry reporting as China's largest furniture distribution and production base along a stretch of more than 10 km. Foshan was awarded the title China's Furniture Trade Capital in 2004 by the China National Light Industry Council and the China Furniture Association, and in 2018 the upgraded title China's Home Furnishing Trade and Innovation Capital by the China National Light Industry Council as the sole city nationally.
